New access for any agent

Previously, only Meta's Muse had permission to buy items on a user's behalf. This update lets shoppers connect any compatible agent with their Shop account without needing a specific partnership integration. Buyers must approve each transaction before it is completed.

Setup and checkout process

Customers link an agent to their profile on the Shop platform, which consolidates orders and tracks packages. The system uses the existing one-click Shop Pay feature to handle checkout within the conversation interface. Orders placed through these agents are funneled back to the main Shop app.

User control features

Shoppers can set rules such as budget guardrails or filters for fast shipping speeds. The feature acts as a personal shopper that follows specific instructions given by the human user. This expansion marks a shift from exclusive partnerships to open access for developers.
