Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 8 arrives with updated hinge and smaller body
Samsung released the Galaxy Z Flip 8 in July 2026 with a revised design and improved hinge mechanism.
New model features and pricing
The device launched for sale on August 7 at a starting price of $1,199.99. Samsung kept the core folding formula from the previous year while reducing the overall body size. The company also added more processing power to the new unit.
Cover screen and hinge improvements
Reviewers note that the cover display is now easier for users to interact with daily. The hinge mechanism has been refined to improve durability and folding smoothness compared to older models.
Similar components from last year
Most internal parts such as the battery, camera hardware, and charging system remain unchanged from the Galaxy Z Flip 7. The previous model remains available at a lower cost for buyers who do not want the latest version.
