Samsung Galaxy users can customize side button functions in settings
Samsung allows owners of Galaxy phones from the Note 10 series and earlier models to remap actions for their multifunctional side buttons through standard phone settings.

Default button behaviors explained
A short press turns the screen on or off by default. A long press activates the Bixby assistant, while a double press opens the camera. Combining a long press with the volume-down button displays the power menu.
Customization options available now
Users can change nearly every action tied to the side button directly in their device settings. Phones that still feature a dedicated Bixby button from the S8 to S10 era also support these changes. Owners of Galaxy Z Flip devices may see different functionality depending on whether the phone is open or closed.
