New panel specifications and efficiency gains

The technology delivers 2,800 nits across the full screen while maintaining high brightness in small areas. This new generation offers a 30 percent improvement in energy efficiency compared to the previous M14 model. The polarizer-free design allows for significantly better battery performance during typical viewing conditions.

First device to receive the upgrade

Vivo will launch the iQOO 16 smartphone in China as the first phone to feature this display. Samsung Display states that television sets are likely to benefit from the technology in future releases. The company notes that smartphones will be the initial market for these next-generation OLED screens.
