New device fills middle gap

The company introduced the new variant more than a week after launching orders for its standard Duo and Duo Lite models. This new unit combines the slimmer dimensions of the Lite with the powerful Qualcomm Dragonwing Q-7790 processor found in the pricier Duo model.

Company offers free exchanges

Retroid Pocket stated it would pause shipments of the original Duo Lite to let buyers compare devices. The firm offered a discount code reducing the preorder price from $219 down to $199 for early orders.

Shipping starts in November

Customers who feel blindsided by the announcement received an email explaining the situation regarding the new model. The handheld maker attributed the late addition of this specific variant directly to customer feedback.
