Rabbit launches standalone AI agent without requiring R1 hardware
Rabbit is rolling out a cloud-based AI agent called OS3 that runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux devices starting now.

People can reach OS3 through a dedicated desktop site or paired messaging apps like Telegram. Rabbit states that the platform will not store, copy, use, or sell user data. Other AI providers linked to the system handle information according to their own privacy rules.
Future hardware plans
The company has stopped manufacturing R1 devices but continues developing new hardware projects. Founder Jesse Lyu told Wired that a new vibe-coding cyberdeck will run OS3 soon. This upcoming device is expected to launch within months according to recent reports.
