Ellison rejects the idea of a SaaSpocalypse

Larry Ellison argued that companies will continue to build applications despite the rise of generative tools. He stated that using AI to create custom software does not mean existing enterprise suites become redundant. The Oracle leader believes current applications only automate a portion of necessary business processes.

Future apps will be more tailored

According to Ellison, artificial intelligence will allow developers to make applications far more comprehensive and capable. He suggested that future software will handle entire business processes rather than just isolated tasks. These new tools can be fine-tuned for every specific type of sector and business need.

Enterprise applications will become more capable

The Oracle executive claims that AI will make enterprise applications even more capable than they are today. He noted that businesses will continue to build applications but the nature of those apps will change significantly. Ellison believes the technology will help finish building apps rather than ending the industry.
