OpenAI unveils Decisions API to speed up agent choices
OpenAI CEO Sam Altman announced a new Decisions API at the company's Dev Day event on Tuesday.

The product offers functionality similar to Jev, a software automation model released by TypeSafe AI earlier this month. Developers can use it to output probabilities for a set of choices quickly and at high speeds.
Specific uses for Luna model
Altman stated the API allows the Luna model to select from predefined options like image categories or agent behaviors. Focusing the model on these choices makes it extremely fast while maintaining safety protections and broad language support.

TypeSafe CEO Diogo Almeida joked about the start of clone wars following the announcement. He suggested that building in a System One compatible way represents the future of development.
