OpenAI launches Intelligent UI feature in ChatGPT with GPT-6 models
OpenAI is rolling out an Intelligent UI update to ChatGPT that combines text responses with interactive visuals and tools.
Interactive visual elements appear
The new feature allows the chatbot to generate diagrams, charts, and forms directly inside the conversation. OpenAI trained GPT-6 to decide when to use these visuals instead of plain text. An example shows a diagram of a seven-speed bicycle with buttons to highlight specific parts.
Tools are generated in-line
Users can ask ChatGPT to create tools such as retirement savings calculators or bill splitters. The system places these functional items directly within the response text. OpenAI also demonstrated how the model could teach Mahjong by generating tile visuals.
Update rolls out broadly
This update is currently rolling out to all users alongside the GPT-6 models. The Sol and Luna versions of the model are now available for this interface. OpenAI announced its first GPT-6 models last month before bringing these specific versions to ChatGPT.
