Footage captured inside rental cars

The dash cams were left switched on by mistake, capturing soldiers entering the vehicles and moving around. Recordings also showed troops typing security gate codes while facing the camera lens. No evidence suggests any of this stored footage ever left the cars.

Military kept using the vehicles

Personnel deleted the recordings after discovering them inside the rented cars. The military continued to use the vehicles for the rest of the exercise due to a shortage of alternative cars. This situation occurred during an exercise in Oslo where few other options were available.
