Meta unveils Tamagotchi-like Muse Charm wearable at Connect event
Mark Zuckerberg revealed a new keychain-sized AI device called the Muse Charm during Meta's annual Connect conference.
Device design and features
The small unit contains an animated avatar that represents the personal AI agent. Users can interact with the system by tapping a fingerprint sensor located on the corner of the screen. The device packs real-time voice capabilities and an avatar stack into a form factor that fits on a keychain.
Current production status
The company has only built a few units so far while it works to finalize the internal components. Zuckerberg stated that the team must complete the layout of parts before mass production begins. The organization plans to have the finished product available for shipping by December in time for the holidays.
User interaction method
People can carry the palm-sized totem in their pockets or attach it to a keychain for easy access. This wearable allows users to talk to the agent without needing to unlock a phone or open an app. The visual representation of the Muse agent lives inside the tiny screen on the front of the device.
