Meta launches Waddle World AI pet app in the Philippines
Meta has released a new Tamagotchi-like AI pet application called Waddle World that is currently available only in the Philippines.

Virtual pet and journal features
Users hatch an egg to receive a virtual pet they must feed and play with. The app functions as a daily journal where users write or dictate entries about their day. Meta's AI responds to these entries by writing back and drawing doodles for the user.
Mini-games and availability details
The application includes mini-games that allow players to collect points for buying food and toys. Social media consultant Matt Navarra spotted the app on Apple and Google stores in late September. Meta states the tool is not a chatbot or productivity assistant but simply a place for users to escape.
Age restrictions and design style
The company flags the software as suitable only for users older than eighteen years old. The interface uses a sixteen-bit aesthetic to create a cozy world for the pixel pet. Meta has not confirmed if wider availability is planned beyond the current launch location.
