New open source platform launches

The company is providing open source firmware and a Linux SDK to enable people to bring the agent to various hardware. Developers can now use these tools to create dedicated E Ink displays, HDMI dongles for TVs, or small touchscreen accessories. A dedicated Discord community has been started to support this new project.

Company releases its own device

Meta kicked things off with a smart home gadget called the Muse Home Link that is powered by a USB-C connection. This little device allows the AI agent to connect to a home network and talk to smart home devices like TVs and speakers. The company manufactured an initial batch of 5000 Home Links for distribution.
