New manufacturing method improves efficiency

The company calls this innovation FMM-Less innovative Pixel Patterning. This technique removes the need for fine metal masks during production. LG Display states that the process increases material utilization rates from 75 percent to over 93 percent.

Timeline excludes television displays

Production for smaller screens could begin in 2027 according to the company. The firm warns that consumers should not expect this technology on televisions for several years. This delay allows the manufacturer to refine the process before scaling up to larger panels.
