Lenovo has reduced the price of its Legion Go S SteamOS handheld computer to $999.99 at Best Buy stores.

The device features an eight-inch IPS screen with a resolution of 1080p and refresh rates up to 120Hz. It includes 32GB of RAM and 1TB of storage alongside a Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. This configuration offers double the memory and storage compared to the base Steam Deck OLED model.
Comparison with competitors
The current discounted price makes it a solid alternative to the $789 Steam Deck OLED. However, the unit is not as powerful as the newly launched Asus ROG Xbox Ally X20 which uses a Z2 Extreme chip.
Software and availability
The handheld runs identical software to the Steam Deck while shipping with two-stage triggers. Reports indicate that SteamOS provides a better experience within this specific configuration than Windows 11.
