Official partnership announcement details

LEGO and Daft Punk have confirmed a collaboration spanning product development, digital content, and live experiences. The duo first teased the project on their WDPK 83.7 channel with a thirty-second video featuring a red brick resembling a speaker woofer. An accompanying animated film shows minifigures of the robot icons navigating a dark landscape toward a custom console set to Voyager and Human After All.

Origin of the fan model

The physical milestone stems from a build created by Patrick Harboun, who goes by RobotRock, during the lockdown period. This father-and-son project from Luxembourg won the 2020 Music to Our Ears challenge after gathering 10,000 community votes. The original design included approximately 2,000 pieces and featured a motorized rotating box of transparent bricks inside the glowing pyramid stage.

Future collaboration possibilities

LEGO marketing chief Julia Goldin stated that this announcement represents just the beginning of a bigger journey for fans. The company noted that Daft Punk had previously appeared as minifigures performing Get Lucky in an earlier project. Designers are currently working with Harboun on the final version of the upcoming set.
