Lahore Chamber urges affordable loans for Pakistani startups and women
Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry Senior Vice President Sardar Usman Ghani called for better financing options during a meeting with UNICEF in Lahore on Thursday.

Financial barriers hinder growth
Sardar Usman Ghani stated that new businesses often struggle with limited money and lack of guidance. These challenges make it difficult for founders to reach customers during their early years. Access to affordable loans would help overcome these specific obstacles.
Support needed for expansion
Entrepreneurs require more than just capital to develop their ventures successfully. They also need mentorship and market opportunities to grow their operations. An enabling environment allows young people to create jobs through self-employment.
UNICEF delegation present
The discussion took place while a UNICEF team led by Ramiz Behbudov visited the city. The Chief of Field Office attended the session alongside LCCI leadership. Both groups discussed ways to promote entrepreneurship in Pakistan.
