JioHotstar partners with Starzplay to launch in Middle East and North Africa
Indian streaming service JioHotstar announced a partnership with Abu Dhabi-based Starzplay to enter the Middle East and North Africa region.
Dedicated hub within existing app
JioHotstar will operate as its own dedicated hub inside the Starzplay application and website. Viewers can access new originals simultaneously with their Indian release dates while watching content in up to ten languages.
Regional language focus and catalog
The library includes series from JioStar TV channels, reality formats like Koffee With Karan, and titles in Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, and Bangla. The deep Malayalam collection specifically targets the large audience from Kerala living in the area.
Pricing plans for sports content
A bundled plan offering JioHotstar with Starzplay sports including cricket costs AED 49.99 per month. Alternatively, users can subscribe to the Starzplay Plus monthly plan at AED 34.99 to access the service.
