Screen texture masks crease

The device uses a matte nano-texture cover on the internal screen to improve readability in sunlight. This layer also helps hide the central crease by scattering reflections across the display surface.

Subpixel arrangement reduces artifacts

Microscope analysis shows oval-shaped subpixels arranged at various angles to minimize visual artifacts. iFixit believes this specific design further masks the fold line down the middle of the screen.

Hinge dust levels lower

Dust entered the USB-C port and speaker grills during testing but remained less than in other foldables. The site notes that noticeably less glow dust found its way inside compared to recent competitors.
