Google launches Live Avatar feature for Gemini 3.8 Enterprise customers
Google has introduced a new Live Avatar feature for its Gemini 3.8 model that is currently available only to Enterprise customers.
Animated persona responds in real time
The update allows users to watch an animated AI persona respond during conversations. This avatar can lip-sync and display different facial expressions while talking. Google states the system supports 97 languages without degrading video fidelity or introducing visual drift.
Organizations can create custom avatars
While Google will offer a library of preset avatars, it also allows organizations to design their own. The interface can pull up information on-screen while the avatar speaks. Output includes an invisible SynthID watermark alongside safeguards designed to respect identity.
