Google acquires unfinished Wyoming data center project from Crusoe
Crusoe sold an incomplete data center site in southeastern Wyoming to Google on Friday.

Deal details and investment plans
The developer confirmed the transaction took place after Google raised concerns about costs and timelines. Google intends to spend 17 billion dollars to build out the campus. Crusoe had previously partnered with Tallgrass to scale the facility to 10 gigawatts of power.
Ongoing partnership and other sites
Crusoe will continue developing a separate data center near Amarillo, Texas for the tech giant. The company recently raised 3.9 billion dollars in funding despite this setback. Independent developers face difficulties securing equipment and power while managing local opposition.
