Cricut launches new StickerPix machines for printing and cutting custom stickers
Cricut has introduced two new DIY machines called the StickerPix Print and StickerPix Print + Cut that allow users to print and cut their own stickers.
Machine sizes and paper support
The StickerPix Print measures 7.8 by 5 by 3.5 inches and prints on 4 by 6-inch photo paper or pre-cut sticker sheets. The larger StickerPix Print + Cut unit is 8 by 11.3 by 4.1 inches and handles 4 by 7-inch sticker sheets as well as 4 by 6-inch photo paper.
Printing technology and durability
Both devices use dye-sublimation to apply heat and transfer dye directly onto the material being printed on. A laminate layer is added after printing to make the final products resistant to water, scratches, and fading.
Cutting capabilities and benefits
The Print + Cut model combines cutting technology with a printer, allowing users to avoid predetermined shapes found on pre-cut sheets. This setup saves space compared to other Cricut machines that require separate inkjet printers and special laminate sheets.
