Tracking moderation actions centrally

The new tool collects filed reports against other users and posts in one location. It also gathers any actions taken against your account and displays your overall standing on the platform. Users can enable this feature by turning on beta options within the app settings menu.

Appealing decisions directly

The inbox allows anyone to appeal most moderation decisions directly through the application interface. Suspensions remain an exception that must still be handled at the login screen instead of inside the inbox. Bluesky states the goal is to make communication with users easier and clearer.

Replacing email notifications

The company previously shared moderation decisions over email which often missed independent server users. This new system sends app notifications so steps in the process do not clutter email inboxes. The inbox starts empty even if a user has already received a strike before enabling it.
