Display and camera placement changes

The device features an 8.5-inch screen with thinner bezels and a peak brightness of up to 1,200 nits. The front-facing camera has moved to the long edge to match other recent iPad models. The display refresh rate remains at 60Hz instead of increasing to 120Hz.

Storage options and pricing details

The 128GB and 256GB storage models contain five CPU cores while the 512GB version has six. The tablet starts at a price of $699 and is available in starlight and midnight colors. Customers can preorder the device now ahead of its launch on November 6th.

Audio technology and biometric features

Apple has introduced an Acoustic Display system that uses woofers paired through the display for better bass. The new model relies on Touch ID rather than Face ID for user authentication.
