Apple releases macOS 27 Golden Gate with new Siri AI features
Apple officially launched macOS 27 Golden Gate on September 14 for compatible Apple Silicon Macs.
Siri AI arrives in English only
The update introduces a major new feature called Siri AI, marking the first deep integration of artificial intelligence into the operating system. This version is currently available only in English and will not launch immediately in the European Union or China due to regulatory concerns.
Hardware requirements limit device access
Users with Intel-powered Macs cannot install this software because macOS 26 Tahoe was the final update for those machines. Advanced features like improved Voice Mode require an M3 chip or newer hardware along with at least 12 GB of RAM.
Supported devices include recent models
The full list of compatible computers includes the MacBook Neo from 2026 and MacBook Pro models from 2020 onward. Other supported hardware ranges from the 2021 iMac to the Mac Pro released in 2023.
