Regulatory filing confirms terms

The company stated it will make employment offers to specific employees of Huxe AI. Apple also plans to receive a non-exclusive license for the startup intellectual property rights. This arrangement allows the tech giant to access talent without buying the entire business.

Startup shuts down operations

Huxe announced on May 21 that it would stop developing its product and remove its app from stores. The team confirmed they will delete user data and halt all services immediately. Developers previously worked on AI features for NotebookLM before founding this new company.

Deal avoids full acquisition

This type of transaction lets larger firms build AI capabilities without facing heavy antitrust scrutiny. The startup thanked users for their suggestions and ideas while ending its development efforts. Both parties refer to the process as a reverse acqui-hire in recent years.
