Apple prepares to unveil a touchscreen MacBook Pro at its Los Angeles event
Reports indicate Apple will hold a special event in Los Angeles today to potentially launch a new MacBook Pro with a touch-sensitive OLED display.
Rumored product features and name
Sources suggest the device might be called the MacBook Ultra, though the final name remains unconfirmed. The laptop is expected to feature an OLED screen that supports touch input for the first time on a Pro model.
Recent product launch schedule
This announcement would follow the release of the iPad mini with OLED and the M6 iMac earlier this week. Analysts note that today marks the third consecutive day of major news releases for the company in this fall.
Event location and coverage
Journalists are currently on the ground in Los Angeles to cover the afternoon presentation. The event is expected to focus primarily on this single new product rather than a wider lineup of devices.
