Apple opens new music hall in London’s Battersea Power Station
Apple is opening Apple Music Hall, a 600-capacity live venue and recording studio, beneath its European headquarters in London's Battersea Power Station on September 28.
Venue capacity and layout
The space accommodates up to 600 people in standing or seating configurations. Every seat is positioned close to the performer while a 38-foot-wide stage supports various layouts.
Audio and broadcast equipment
A 48-speaker spatial sound system wraps around the room to create an immersive mix for fans. The facility includes 16 camera locations and a control room that supports iPhone video capture.
Recording and production facilities
Two dedicated recording and mixing studios allow artists to leave with finished Spatial Audio recordings after a show. Performances can be livestreamed worldwide from the same night using this integrated infrastructure.
