Missing facial recognition system

The iPhone Duo does not include a FaceID array for facial recognition. Users must authenticate with fingerprints or passwords instead of scanning their faces. This change represents a significant departure from the security methods used in traditional iPhones.

Absent camera control button

The device also removes the dedicated Camera Control button found on other models. Reports indicate that this hardware omission is one of the main compromises for buyers. Some users may find these missing features to be a dealbreaker.

Camera performance limitations

Engadget notes that the cameras on the Duo cannot quite compete with other models in the lineup. The phone is less durable than the traditional iPhone 18 Pro released at the same time. Buyers should consider if losing these features is worth having a folding display.
