Apple iPhone 18 Pro models receive incremental design and battery updates
Apple has released the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max with minor improvements to battery life and weight compared to the previous year's models.
Design dimensions remain unchanged
The new devices keep the aluminum unibody design introduced with the iPhone 17 Pro series. Physical measurements for both the standard Pro and the Pro Max stay exactly the same as last year.
Weight increases vary by size
The standard iPhone 18 Pro weighs 2.4 percent more than its predecessor while the larger model gains about 6.9 percent in mass. Camera hardware remains identical across both sizes so buyers do not need the bigger phone for better optics.
Battery boost limited to Max
Only the iPhone 18 Pro Max receives a significant battery life improvement alongside the heavier chassis. The standard model offers similar features without the extra power capacity found in the larger version.
