Apple introduces variable aperture camera and faster charging on iPhone 18 Pro
Apple has released the iPhone 18 Pro with new camera controls and improved charging speeds.

Variable aperture lens offers light control
The device features a main camera capable of physically opening and closing its aperture blades. Users can select four specific settings ranging from f/1.48 to f/4 within the Camera app. Changing these settings alters the amount of light entering the sensor and changes background blur.
Dynamic Island shrinks and charging improves
The Dynamic Island display element is smaller on this new model compared to previous versions. Charging speeds have also increased significantly for users taking the phone out of the box. These hardware changes provide greater control over photography lighting and depth of field.
