Device name and release date

Bloomberg reported that the device will ship in November ahead of the company event. The name HomeView indicates a display controlled by voice rather than a tablet interface.

Hardware options and colors

The hub will be available as a countertop model or a wall-mounted unit. Countertop versions come in space gray, silver, starlight, and pink while wall models are limited to two shades.

App store restrictions and partners

The device will not access the App Store but instead relies on third-party accessories. Apple is collaborating with LG to create compatible smart home products for this system.
