Apple Home security camera AI features cost up to $60 monthly
Apple announced new paid AI features for HomeKit Secure Video with the release of iOS 27 and tvOS 27.
New video search capabilities arrive
The update adds AI-powered summaries that describe who and what compatible cameras see. Users can also stitch footage from multiple devices into a single clip. These functions require an iCloud Plus subscription to access.
Pricing scales with camera count
Adding the feature to one camera costs $9.99 per month for a 2TB plan. A second camera requires a 6TB plan at $29.99 monthly. Up to five cameras are supported on a 12TB plan for $59.99.
Storage limits remain separate
Recordings from HomeKit-connected cameras do not count toward the user storage quota. The company has not stated if more than five cameras can be added.
