Anthropic launches updated Claude Code Projects for managing multiple cloud AI agents
Anthropic has relaunched the Projects feature in Claude Code today to allow users to manage teams of AI agents in the cloud.
New agent coordination system
The revamped feature lets users run multiple agents under one roof with shared memory and goals. Each project contains threads that execute different tasks in parallel while a coordinator directs the overall workflow.
Technical implementation details
Every thread operates as a separate cloud session working on its own branch of the repository. If threads edit the same code, the system resolves overlaps like a standard merge conflict.
Availability and access rules
The update is currently in beta for select Claude Pro and Max subscribers. Anthropic plans to expand access to all Pro, Max, Team, Enterprise, Cowork, and regular chat users later.
