New hardware features arrive

Both systems are FPGA devices that recreate original hardware on a chip. They include built-in Bluetooth and 2.4GHz wireless support alongside wired controller options. The units also feature USB-C power, a USB-A port for CRT connections, and an SD card slot.

Pricing and shipping details

Each console costs $220 with shipping scheduled for December. Buyers must provide their own original cartridges to play games on the systems. No gamepads are included in the box, so customers will need to purchase compatible controllers separately.

Recommended controller options

8BitDo offers retro-style M30 and SN30 controllers that match the respective console aesthetics. These third-party gamepads cost $30 apiece for users who want wireless functionality. Wired controllers remain supported for those who prefer a traditional connection method.
