Amazon unveils new Echo devices including a smart photo frame and bedside clock
Amazon announced five new Echo hardware products at an event in New York City on Wednesday.

New smart home devices arrive
The company introduced the Alexa Photo Frame, which features a semi-matte display designed to look like artwork. Alongside this frame, Amazon also released Echo Time, a device intended to function as a smart alarm clock. The lineup includes refreshed versions of the Echo Dot and Echo Studio speaker with an integrated camera.
Pricing changes for existing models
The entry-level Echo Dot now starts at $100, marking a price increase from its previous affordable cost. The new Echo Studio With Home Camera is priced at $250, while the Echo Show 16 costs $500. These devices are available for purchase immediately following the announcement.
Features focus on AI integration
The new hardware supports the revamped Alexa+ voice assistant, which users report interacting with more frequently than before. The photo frame uses software to automatically select images based on lighting conditions and seasonal events. Users can also add voice notes directly to photos stored within the device.
