If a person enters close proximity, Digit 5 can squat into a seated position to avoid contact. These actions allow the machine to operate without requiring isolated work cells or physical separation barriers.
Production timeline and facility updates
Customers will gain early access to the unit in the first half of 2027. General availability is expected by the end of that year according to the company announcement. Agility is currently retooling its RoboFab facility in Salem, Oregon to produce the newest model.
