Designer seeks creative clarity

Espadas felt overwhelmed by the volume of online images and information leading up to this season. She chose to create the entire line using subtle variations of white, including cream cotton and vanilla linen. The collection is titled Capitulo IX and marks a shift from her usual chapter-based schedule to a conventional timeline.

Garments feature sculptural structure

The designer explained that the monochromatic shade emphasizes volume, detail, and garment structure more effectively than other colors. Specific items included trousers with dropped crotches above the knees and skirts cut with mixed curves and straight lines. Asymmetric designs and genderless patterns were central to the artistic vision of this fairytale-like presentation.

Palette includes sandy textures

The color scheme relied on sandy ramie fabric alongside the cream and vanilla options mentioned earlier. A slightly darker chain stitch floral pattern appeared only on a pair of trousers to break the uniformity. This approach provided a blank slate for Espadas to showcase her unique construction techniques.
