Thunder plan to retire Russell Westbrook number zero on February 7
The Oklahoma City Thunder announced they will raise Russell Westbrook's No. 0 jersey to the rafters on February 7.

Career history with franchise
Westbrook was selected in the first round of the 2008 draft before the team moved from Seattle. He spent his first eleven seasons playing for the organization alongside Kevin Durant. Sam Presti stated that Westbrook built a legacy both on the court and in the community.
Historic statistical achievements
The player became the first since Oscar Robertson to average a triple-double for an entire season. He recorded 31.6 points, 10.7 rebounds, and 10.4 assists during that campaign to win league MVP honors. Westbrook repeated this statistical milestone in his final two years with the Thunder.
Future jersey status
His number will become the second retired item in franchise history after Nick Collison's No. 4. The ceremony honors a nine-time NBA All-Star following an eighteen-season career that originated with the organization.
