Tessa Tran buys back Chan Luu and revives the family jewelry brand
Tessa Tran purchased her aunt's Chan Luu company in 2023 after previously working as an intern.

Family ownership returns to the label
Tran started as an intern at the Los Angeles-based brand before graduating from FIT. She remained with the business after her aunt sold a majority stake in 2014. Tran fully bought back the family business in 2023 to continue the legacy.
Production locations remain unchanged
The revived brand continues manufacturing items in the same factories located in India and Vietnam. These facilities have grown alongside the company since Tran took full control of operations.
New focus on lasting wardrobe pieces
Tran aims to create clothing that stays in customers wardrobes for years rather than following seasonal trends. She has shown collections at New York Fashion Week without planning a traditional runway show yet.
