Paris vintage store named after founders birth year offers rare designer pieces
A Paris showroom opened in mid-June and is named 1988 after the birth year of owners Maël Larcher and Xiaoyu Jiang.

The space holds approximately 2,000 pieces ranging from American vintage to high-end designer goods. Visitors can rent or purchase these items by appointment only. The collection features rare works from designers such as Helmut Lang and Miuccia Prada.
Specific garments remain with owners
Some early Helmut Lang jackets are so unique that the owners do not plan to sell them. A Phoebe Philo Yves Klein Blue dress hangs on the wall like art. One of the oldest items is a pair of Malcolm McLaren pants given to Larcher by Kim Jones.
