McQueen record-breaking ensemble sells

The Alexander McQueen Plato's Atlantis collection from Spring 2010 achieved the top price of the night. Buyers paid $1,586,000 for the minidress with arced balloon sleeves and matching Armadillo heels. This amount represents the highest sum ever fetched by a McQueen piece at auction.

Other high-value items sell

Yves Saint Laurent's 1965 Mondrian dress sold for $750,000 to set another unprecedented record. A purple sleeveless Alaïa gown with sheer paneling fetched $175,000 during the event. The total sale of all twenty-three lots reached $3,931,000.
