Netflix orders new season
Variety confirmed on August 24 that Netflix ordered an eight-episode third season of the crime drama. Guy Ritchie will return to direct and co-write the series with Matthew Read. The production is currently in pre-production and scripts have not yet been finalized.
Meghan Markle casting status
Multiple outlets reported in August that Meghan Markle was being considered for a role in the London-based series. By October, People and The Telegraph stated she was no longer under consideration for a part. No official logline exists for the upcoming installment because filming has not begun.
Series plot details
The story follows aristocrat Eddie Horniman after he inherits his late father's countryside estate. He discovers the property doubles as an underground cannabis ring with connections to England's criminal empire. The third season is expected to continue where the second season left off.
