Joe Freshgoods launches red patent leather Ellis penny loafer with Blackstock & Weber
Chicago designer Joe Freshgoods releases its first non-athletic shoe, the Blackstock & Weber Ellis penny loafer, for sale online on October 23 and in stores on October 24.

Partnership marks athletic brand expansion
This collaboration represents Joe Freshgoods' initial product release outside the athletic footwear market. The two labels partnered based on mutual respect to create a detail-driven dress shoe. Construction features Goodyear welted stitching designed to allow sole replacement over time.
Materials and design details
The upper utilizes high-shine red patent leather sourced from Carasco in Italy. A checkerboard pattern is laser-etched directly into the vamp of the shoe. Inside, a pink lining contrasts with the red exterior of the loafer.
Sole construction and traction
Underfoot, a Vibram 1757 lug sole provides chunky traction for the wearer. The glossy finish gives the classic penny silhouette a bold appearance.
