Jacques Wei presents Shanghai Spring 2027 collection in historic villa
Designer Jacques Wei unveiled his Shanghai Spring 2027 collection inside a 1928 villa designed by architect László Hudec.

Historic building hosts new fashion show
The venue is the final work of Hungarian-Slovak architect László Hudec in Shanghai. Wei selected this neoclassical house because it had been abandoned long enough to develop a romantic atmosphere.
Collection draws on ancient crafts
Motifs from Chaoshan ancient crafts appeared in the collection which Wei described as an Oriental forest. The designs combined traditional brocades with sharp tailoring and vivid colors that ran riot across the garments.
Rooms transformed into inner life scenes
Artist Tang Haiqing helped turn the villa rooms into different parts of a woman's inner life. Paintings and bright hues set the scenes for this mix of historic house and imaginary boudoir.
