Indian Cafe Racer opens new restaurant in Birmingham
Indian Cafe Racer has moved from a pub backroom to a new 65-cover location on Bristol Street in Birmingham.

Previous location and growth
The establishment began its operations tucked behind a curtain at the Duke of Wellington pub. It quickly became oversubscribed due to high demand from fans of the original spot. The owners decided a larger home was necessary to accommodate the growing customer base.
New menu and drinks
The new venue features an ever-changing menu with items like shaktiman, gol gappa, and farzi steak. Diners can also order Indo-Chinese small plates such as gobi manchurian and chilli chicken. The cocktail bar serves drinks named Angry Young Man alongside endless karak chai.
Local food scene context
South Birmingham once hosted 30 restaurants along Ladypool Road and Stratford Road before only two remain today. This new opening represents a positive development for the local area after many closures. The restaurant serves customers from Mumbai, Delhi, Chennai, and Kolkata through its diverse offerings.
