Family history of fitness

The siblings grew up in Hong Kong after being born in Switzerland. Their father was a former marathon runner who inspired them to take up the sport. Both brothers and sisters now compete in major local trail races.

Personal transformation stories

Elliot Froidevaux lost significant weight and quit smoking before becoming an elite athlete. His sister Joanne Nixon turned to running as a way to cope with family illness and career stress. She recently completed her first Hyrox women's singles race in May 2026.

Future competition plans

Nixon aims to enter another Hyrox event and the Standard Chartered Hong Kong Marathon next January. Her brother has already conquered the Hong Kong Four Trails Ultra Challenge twice. The family continues to train together for upcoming challenges.
