Puzzle mechanics explained

Normal sudoku rules apply to the entire grid. Numbers inside cells marked by dotted lines must add up to a figure shown in the corner. No number can be repeated within any single shape formed by those dotted lines.

Where to find solutions

Readers can see the completed puzzle by buying the next issue of the Guardian. Solutions for Friday and Saturday puzzles appear in either Saturday or Monday editions. Puzzles are published from Monday through Thursday each week.
