Guardian introduces Killer Sudoku with new dotted line rules
The Guardian has launched a new Killer Sudoku puzzle format where numbers within dotted lines must sum to corner figures without repeating.

Standard grid rules apply
Normal sudoku rules continue to apply across the entire grid. The only exception involves the specific cells contained within dotted lines.
Summing corner figures
Numbers inside these outlined shapes must add up to the figures shown in the corner. No single number can be repeated within each shape formed by the dotted lines.
Solutions appear later
Readers can see the completed puzzle by buying the next issue of the Guardian. Solutions for Friday and Saturday puzzles are given in either Saturday or Monday editions.
