Presentations held at unique venues

George Inaki presented his Milamore collection at a traditional Japanese tea house called Sorate. Juju Ferentinos hosted her label Juju Vera presentation at her brand-new studio location.

Designs feature kintsugi themes

The Milamore line is based on kintsugi, a practice of repairing broken pottery with gold lacquer. Inaki displayed items like a signature necklace and shirts made from upcycled kimonos with pearl buttons.

Designers share personal stories

Inaki explained that his collection started with an idea to mend himself after moving from Japan without friends or a job. He wore a divorce ring created by melting his engagement ring and adding diamonds to it.
